How it works

One tag on the door. One record both sides can stand behind.

The contractor tags the asset, captures the statutory check on site and approves it in the office. The record files itself to the building, where the manager who carries the duty reads it live. Here is every step, and where the two sides meet.

Works fully offline · iOS · iPadOS · Android · Built for the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022

1 · The tag

The record belongs to the door, not the contractor.

Every door, damper and device on your estate carries a QTAG, filed by site, block and floor. From then on, whoever scans the tag sees the same history.

  • Any asset, one register. Fire doors first, not fire doors only: dampers, seals, alarms, extinguishers, lifts — each with its own checks.
  • Tagged as you survey. Walk the building once and every asset is tagged, photographed and placed on the floor plan as you go.
  • Coloured by compliance. Upload the PDF plan and every tagged asset sits on it: in date, due soon or overdue at a glance.

2 · On site

Scan, check, done — with no signal.

Point the phone at the tag and the right form opens, with the door's history underneath. Nothing to look up and nothing to re-key.

  • The right form, every time. Statutory checks — Reg 10, Reg 7, PEEPs, FRA — drawn from government guidance, plus your own.
  • Evidence in the record. Pass/fail checks, defect photos, a pin on the floor plan, a signature — nothing to type up on Friday night.
  • Offline by design. Basements and stairwells are where the doors are. Work all day, sync when you surface.
  • Surveys, installs, remedials, periodic checks. A defect found on a periodic check becomes a remedial job on the same tag, so the before and after sit together.

3 · Approved, then filed to the building

The office approves it. The building's register updates itself.

Every submission comes back to the office for review. Approve it and the branded PDF is produced; the door, the floor plan and the building's compliance figure update the same moment. Nobody compiles a register — the register is what the work leaves behind.

  • Review before anything is released. Check the photos and findings, send anything doubtful back to the operative's phone, approve when it is right.
  • Per door, per floor, per building. Compliant · Due soon · Overdue · Action required, with the last check and the next due date, across the whole estate.
  • The next check is booked before this one lapses. Every statutory interval — quarterly doors, monthly Reg 7 — rolls forward on its own, into the team's planner.
  • Produce the record in seconds. Auditor, resident or fire officer asks about a door: open it, hand over the PDF.

4 · Where the two sides meet

The contractor does the work. The building manager holds the evidence.

A contractor attaches a client to a project — that is the whole setup. The client gets a free, read-only login under the contractor's brand. Approved evidence crosses; drafts, internal review, pricing and forms never do.

For the contractor

Costs nothing — client and guest seats are free. Answers the evidence question in every tender in one line, and makes you harder to replace.

For the building manager

Nothing to set up, nothing to pay. A live register and every approved report, across every contractor who connects you.

When the contract changes

The history stays with the building. The next firm scans the same tags and carries on where the last one stopped, and every report you were given stays yours.

5 · For building managers

Questions

The ones we get on every call.

No. A client connected by a contractor reads the evidence free for as long as they like. They pay only if they choose Premium to run their own register.
Never. Only approved work is released. Your forms, catalogue, files and anything still in review are not visible at all.
Anything a building relies on to stay safe: fire-stopping seals, dampers, alarms, emergency lighting, extinguishers, dry risers, lifts — each with its own checks and intervals.
Fully. Scan, capture, photograph and sign with no signal; the phone syncs when it is back online and the office sees the submission then.

See your buildings the way the regulator will.

Bring a floor plan to a demo. We trace one building live and show your doors on the plan, coloured by compliance, before the call ends.
